Kauna'oa Beach

This beach at the Mauna Kea Hotel has delightful white sand, clear water and moderate surf. Good snorkeling can be found at the left end of the beach. If the kids want to try body boarding this is the place to do it. The beach is well maintained with excellent facilities. The hotel limits passes on a first come first served basis so go early.

The Mauna Kea Hotel is about 31 miles from Kona north on Highway 19 and perhaps 2 miles south of the junction of Highways 19 and 270.
