Akaka Falls State Park

The 440 foot high Akaka Falls is the main feature of the 65 acre Akaka Falls State Park. The visitor has a 1/2 mile walk through the rain forest with enchantingly lush vegetation on all sides. Kahuna Falls is also in the park. Picnic tables, restrooms and drinking water are available.

This park is located north of Hilo on Highway 19 to Highway 220, then 5 miles on 220 to park.
